So I'm writing a dark fantasy novel. It's my first attempt. The Library is where I talk about the journey to becoming a published author — whether or not it happens is another thing. No plot spoilers, but perhaps some hints and teasers from time to time. More about the writing life, less about the writing itself.
Current progress: Recently passed the 30,000 word mark of the zero draft. My guess, knowing my proclivity to overwrite, is that I’m around a quarter of the way through. I've definitely been struggling to write recently, but I’ve found that doing short sprints on paper before work — 20 to 30 minutes — has been brute-forcing the story along nicely.
